Beatrice Di Francescantonio

Beatrice Di Francescantonio was born in Como, Italy, in 1979. She graduated from the B. Luini Art High School in Cantù in 1997 and went on to earn a degree in Painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan in 2003. Her thesis in Art History was supervised by the curator Antonio D'Avossa.

A prolific and versatile artist, Beatrice Di Francescantonio explores a wide range of techniques and media, moving fluidly between figurative and abstract visual languages. Her practice embraces the expressive potential of diverse materials, reflecting an ongoing commitment to experimentation. In painting, she primarily works in mixed media, with a particular emphasis on acrylic. Alongside contemporary materials, she continues to employ traditional media such as graphite and coloured pencils, whose refined draftsmanship evokes the legacy of the Renaissance, while her abstract works incorporate materials including quartz, paper, and wood to create richly textured surfaces.

Deeply engaged with the contemporary world, Beatrice Di Francescantonio has also created installations in which personal experience emerges with striking emotional intensity. This sensitivity extends naturally to her longstanding interest in fashion, an enduring source of inspiration within her multidisciplinary practice. In her most recent works, the dialogue between reality and imagination becomes an urgent visual language—a necessary cry that explores art as a form of anthropological inquiry and healing.

She lives and works in Brianza, Italy.
